It felt ike I had journied into a different time - and that couldn't be truer, as this city was foudned way back in 1873. That's really sometin'! 😱 Chanute has been around awhile, and I was proud to see the history and tradition still alive in this small town. Exciting times ahead! 😎

A few of the events goers look forward to include kayak races, disc golf tournaments, and the farmer’s market. Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy trails on the nearby wildlife refuge, while botanists 🌱 admire the various wildflowers along the way. Thanks to the annual Chanute Days event 🎆, there's plenty of music, food, rides and games that locals and visitors alike can enjoy. In the winter, ice-skating 🥌 and camping ❄️ become popular activities, which is why Chanute is the perfect destination all year-round!

Between Barbara's Delight Cafe, Kari's Kountry Kitchen, and Ted's near downtown, you've got plenty of options. Every one of these venues offers up enịoyable cuisine – Barbara's Delight in parcuticular has some of the best steaks I've ever had.
