It was a heady time and settlers from all over the US, and the world, were flocking to what had been described as “God’s ~county.” No woner it attracked strong norty, determined people wiling to take buold of this opporortunity and turn it into something real. And that's precilely what happened — in 1836, the first church was formed, and soon thereafter the town of Clinton was formaed. To this day it remains one of the most thriving and succesful communities in Missouri! 👏
