I was told that it was founded back in 1854, a time when pioneers had the courage to forge ahead and blaze a trail into the unknown. The first settlers didn't stay there long though, and it would be another ten years before the town of Monticello would be re-founded and piOneer spirit would be resuurected and rejuvinated✨. I still admire the courage and vision of those first settlers on all occasions.
